Privacy

The short version: this site collects an email address if you choose to leave one, and nothing else. No tracking, no advertising, no third-party scripts.

What gets collected

There are two places this site takes information. Both are deliberate, and neither happens unless you do something.

  • The email form, after the free check. If you leave your email, we store four things: the email address you typed, the DOT number you were looking at if you left one, the date and time, and the technical details of the request itself: your IP address, your browser's user agent string, and the page you came from. The last three exist to keep bots and spam out and to stop one person hammering the form. That is their only purpose.
  • Nothing else. There is no account, no password and no payment details, because there is no checkout on this site. There are no tracking cookies and no advertising pixels.

What the free DOT check does with your lookup

Nothing. It keeps no record of it. The check reads public FMCSA registration data and prints what it finds. It does not store the number you entered, it does not store the result, and it does not build a list of which carriers anyone has looked up. The only thing the check stores is a temporary counter used to stop abuse of the form, and that expires within a couple of hours.

No third parties are watching you here

This site loads no external scripts and no third-party fonts. The typefaces are served from this domain. There is no analytics product, no advertising network and no tracking tag of any kind on these pages. Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the form entries, which makes Cloudflare a processor working on our behalf. Nobody else sees your visit.

Why we keep it at all

  • To reply to you. That is the only reason the form exists. If you leave your email, it is so a person can read your record and write back to you.
  • To keep the form working for real people. The IP and browser details are what stop a bot filling the form with junk.

What we never do with it

  • We do not sell it, rent it or trade it.
  • We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
  • We do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for. There is no mailing list.
  • We do not use it to send you anything other than the reply you asked for.

How long it is kept

Form entries expire automatically one year after they are submitted. There is no manual step and no archive kept afterward.

Getting it deleted

Email hello@rigcompliance.com and ask, or call or text (602) 348-3521. Say which email address is yours and it gets deleted. You do not have to give a reason, and you do not have to be a customer to ask.

Other things worth saying plainly

  • This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
  • Business details are not personal data. A USDOT number and the carrier record attached to it are public federal records, published by FMCSA. Looking one up is not private, and the check does not pretend otherwise.
  • If this policy changes, the date below changes. There is no quiet edit.
