What the service is

Rig Compliance provides administrative record-keeping, filing assistance and compliance tracking. We work through the documents the carrier provides against the federal rules. Ultimate compliance, and providing those documents, remain the responsibility of the carrier.

What is included

• Deadlines watched at 60, 30 and 7 days out, on a written checklist, with the item checked off when it is done.
• Driver qualification files built and kept current, one file per driver.
• The drug and alcohol program set up with a third-party administrator, a C/TPA, which runs the laboratory testing and the random pool selections. We keep the records. We never collect a sample and we never run a test.
• The Clearinghouse employer account, the annual queries and the pre-employment queries.
• Filings prepared and filed: MCS-150, UCR, IRP and IFTA, and Form 2290 e-filed as a filing provider.
• Your BOC-3 process agent designation set up and kept current through an authorized process agent, which is the only party FMCSA allows to file it.
• Medical cards and MVRs tracked and renewed before they expire.
• Annual inspections scheduled and recorded for every truck.
• DataQ challenges, up to two a quarter.
• The monthly written report, and a text the moment something is filed saying what went out and what came back.

What is not included

• Attending an audit or an inspection, or speaking for you to FMCSA. That is not this service and we will never say it is.
• DOT physicals and drug test collections. A medical examiner and a collection site do those.
• Government fees and taxes. The UCR fee, the IRP and IFTA fees and the Form 2290 tax are paid by the carrier to the agency. The Form 2290 tax alone runs $100 to $550 per truck per year, and a third-party filer does not pay it. They charge their fee and nothing more.
• Legal advice, and representation in any court proceeding. A citation issued by a state is a court matter, not a DataQ matter.
• Driving, dispatching, repairs or insurance.

Reminders, not a guarantee

The service is reminders and the work behind them: texts at 60, 30 and 7 days, one phone call at the 7 day mark, a text when something is filed, and a report once a month.

Nobody can promise a date will never be missed, and this is not a guarantee. What you are buying is that nothing goes unwatched.

We flag. You decide.

Every finding is reported to the carrier. The fix is the carrier's decision. If we report a lapse, recommend the fix, and the carrier chooses not to act, the record shows what was reported and when.

Documents, and what happens if they do not arrive

The carrier provides the documents the work is built from. When the service is waiting on documents, the calendar is waiting with it, and we will say so in writing. Silence is not read as approval, and it does not become the service's fault. Every request goes out with the list of what is needed and when it is needed by.

Price and payment

• $129 per month for the first truck, $75 for each additional truck, and $199 one-time setup. Up to two drivers per truck are included, and additional drivers are $19 each per month.
• Month to month. No contract, no annual commitment, and no annual markup.
• Billing starts when the work starts, not when an agreement is signed.

How it ends

Either side stops it by saying so. There is no notice period and no exit fee. One month's service is one month's payment, and there is nothing to cancel beyond saying so.

When it ends, the carrier gets its records. The files, the checklist, the dates and the report history belong to the carrier, and they get handed over on request. You are not held hostage by your own paperwork.
